Attention iBAPPO users.

In case you haven't noticed, accounts are never deleted (unless requested) and all of the accounts from the old iBAPPO are still there. Therefore, creating new accounts is unnecessary!

Hello iBAPPO'ers!

Recently, a hot topic has arisen on the forums about how to bolster iBAPPO again and regain interest among the students. I have been thinking sincerely about this and I think I have come up with (one) solution.

In school, what are bustling social events that are in great need of organization? Clubs. Wouldn't it be nice if every club at North Canyon had their own website where they could post news, information, events, gatherings, and discussions? After a few weeks of development, I think I can make iBAPPO the gathering place for the clubs of North Canyon. I think this may just be the missing puzzle piece of a powerful, useful social networking website.

Several ideas are exploding in my head right now, I just need time to organize my thoughts, come up with design ideas, and of course, program it. I want this feature to be very thorough; therefore, it'll be a while before it's actually implemented. Meanwhile, talk amongst other iBAPPO members, especially club heads, and come up with some ideas of your own.

What iBappo needs in order to become successful again

Hey Everybody!

I just added the ability to upload your own music! As long as it's under 10mb, you can upload any MP3 from your computer, and share it with everyone. This is especially great for music you've made yourself, or maybe uploading that certain audio book nobody read for the seminar tomorrow. Ha!

But please don't upload anything illegal, I am not responsible for it but if something happens, this feature goes away. So try to keep it safe. I know this is going to be great for bands like JaK, where their music isn't necessarily copyrighted, and it can be shared with the users of iBAPPO.

Now, I have heard what you've all been saying about videos. The fact is, the iBAPPO servers aren't nearly as powerful as something like YouTube's, and we just don't have the resources, or disk space, to store video. I am, however, working on a feature that will integrate with YouTube, so YouTube videos can play right inside the chat bubbles. I think you'll like this better than me trying to program my own music sharing application!

North Canyon's best website is back and it's better than ever! iBappo v4 is
now on the web and it's got plenty to be excited for.

As most of you know, we had a bit of trouble last year with Administration
getting angry about some of the features of iBappo. Everyone will be pleased to know that those features have been removed, and thorough monitoring of any questionable activity is now being practiced by James and I. Of course, we are only two people, and it's up to the rest of you guys to make this a safe site and keep things school-appropriate. If you're thinking about spreading this site (which we hope you are!), please remember to tell them that iBappo is no longer affiliated with anything that could get anyone in trouble. Let's try to keep this a fun and useful site everyone!

Another note: We strongly encourage everyone to put their first name and at
least their last initial into the database. I'll tell you why--a lot of iBappo's goodness would be useless without having names in the database, because it's frustrating trying to figure out who's who among so many students in the IB and AP programs. The purpose of the site was to bring together our community into one place, and we don't want to be left wondering who said what. Also, the new Friends feature on this site depends heavily on being able to simply search someone's first name and be instantly greeted with their user profile. So please tell us your names!

So there's been a lot of hard work put into this, and there are quite a few
innovative new features not only on just the forums, but everywhere else too. Please take a chance to explore these new features. Some of them are listed below.

New Look
It's hard to believe that the old iBappo was considered good design now
that the new one looks so much better. Sporting a glassy, quicksilver-like theme, iBappo is even more pleasing to look at.

Events
Students can now create events and share them with their friends.
Planning a party this summer? Or perhaps trying to organize a school-sponsored event? Events on iBappo allow for everyone to easily create a new event, share that event with others, and quickly RSVP to that event.

Friends
You can now add friends to your profile! With 100% new code, fresh off
the compiler, adding and finding friends is extremely quick and easy. Friends goes hand-in-hand with Events, creating an even more enjoyable experience and an easier way to communicate with your classmates.

Interests (coming soon)
Finding friends is extremely effortless with the new Interests system. Adding on to simply typing your interests in your profile, users can actually click on interests in their very own profile or others' profiles to find others with the same interests.
